Palmer Chapter 10 1 Napoleonic Europe X. Napoleonic Europe pp. 417-452 The impact of France under Napoleon on Europe was based on military subjugation. Some peoples worked with Napoleon to gain changes; in other cases, resistance to Napoleon was the factor that brought change. The period from 1792-1814 was not a world war, but a series of short, sharp, distinct episodes; only Great Britain remained at war for the full period, and only in 1813 was there full cooperation in the field against Napoleon. It also asserts animal dominance over the human race, and did not want to be like the humans. The point of these commandments was to rule the animals without human aid. Sugar Candy mountain symbolizes heaven, because there is no problems or any difficulty in Sugar Candy mountain. The pigs discourage this because it symbolizes religion which is human like.

Jilly Empey 4/22/12 English/Ethics Rench Animal Farm Alternate Ending The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which. Life on the farm continued to be laborious and food rations were dwindling. The smell of cooking barley often wafted out through the windows of the farm house, and at night one could hear the obnoxious singing and dancing coming from the drunken pigs. Now, many of the animals were well past the set retiring age, including Clover, Jessie, and Bluebell. They often complained of sore feet and whatnot to the other animals, and subtly hinted their ages now and then to the pigs.
