Betrayal and Mob Mentality In every time period, you can see examples of mob mentality and betrayal. These issues were prevalent in both Russia and Rome, in their respective time periods. Both Shakespeare and Orwell wrote works that included these elements. In Animal Farm and Julius Caesar, the issues of mob mentality and betrayal are present.

Harini Pasupuleti Period 3+4 The general message of the seven commandments is that there can be no leader, and the leadership comes out of the people. It also asserts animal dominance over the human race, and did not want to be like the humans. The point of these commandments was to rule the animals without human aid. Sugar Candy mountain symbolizes heaven, because there is no problems or any difficulty in Sugar Candy mountain. The pigs discourage this because it symbolizes religion which is human like.

Jilly Empey 4/22/12 English/Ethics Rench Animal Farm Alternate Ending The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which. Life on the farm continued to be laborious and food rations were dwindling. The smell of cooking barley often wafted out through the windows of the farm house, and at night one could hear the obnoxious singing and dancing coming from the drunken pigs. Now, many of the animals were well past the set retiring age, including Clover, Jessie, and Bluebell. They often complained of sore feet and whatnot to the other animals, and subtly hinted their ages now and then to the pigs.

Leah Vadnais June 8, 2011 Period 1 Ethos, Pathos, and Logos are three different persuasive strategies, Ethos is an appeal based on the characters of the speaker; Pathos is an appeal based to emotion; and lastly Logos is an appeal based on logic or reason. Animal Farm by George Orwell is about a pig named napoleon who takes over the other animals on the farm after the animals rebel to be free. Another pig named Squealer, is Napoleon?s right hand man, and tries to prove to Napoleon that he can persuade the other animals into believing that Napoleon is the best of all animals. The character Squealer is the one who uses ethos, pathos, and logos to persuade the other animals into believing him.
