History of early Virginia is difficult, as there are few documents, and they aren't always trustworthy. ? Virginia was America's first representative assembly? Brought tobacco to England en masse? Captain John Smith had wrote a history of Virginia titled A Generall Historie of Virginia? Smith was generally pretty good with telling the truth, but his perspective is definitely his own, so that has to be kept in mind ? Was Smith completely truthful?? Most powerful person in region?
