Macbeth: Introduced as a brutal warrior who has shown not only remarkable courage on the battlefield but also leadership; his morals appeared to be intact his loyalty to his kingdom is unchallenged, and his love for Lady Macbeth is unconditional. Macbeth?s strong and noble character falters when the Weird Sisters foretell that he shall become king: he comes to the conclusion, under pressure from Lady Macbeth, that he must kill Duncan to take the throne or else see Malcolm, son of Duncan, take it from his precious eyes. Over the course of the play, Macbeth?s horrid actions bring him to be a very callous and coldhearted man. Furthermore, he loses grasp of his morals and becomes extremely egotistical.
