Konstantinos Filippakos 3/25/10 English Honors Juliet?s Change In the play Shakespeare?s Romeo and Juliet, the character Juliet goes through many changes and tragedies in her life. Shakespeare conveys Juliet, in the beginning, as a young hearted, na?ve girl, who would never think twice of disobeying her family, and always followed what was to be done. However, as the play continues Juliet changes into a mature, compassionate woman. Kurudimov ? PAGE ?5? Karina Kurudimov Mr. Simmons H English 9 13 May 2011 The Diversity of Love Romeo and Juliet is tragedy by William Shakespeare that is about a pair of lovers whose parents were enemies. By the end of the play Romeo and Juliet ended up taking their own lives just to be with each other. After the couple killed themselves their families finally ended their feud and agreed to live in peace since their hate for each other cost them the lives of their only children. This play teaches the valuable lesson that young and impetuous love can lead to disaster. Throughout the play there is three main different types of love portrayed: the cynical love of Mercutio and the Nurse, the unrequited love between Romeo and Rosaline, and the true love between Romeo and Juliet.

Star Light, Star Bright; Does Jack Shine Tonight? By: Kayleigh Hursh How does Stanley Kubrick?s The Shining keep its audience so well captivitated throughout the duration of the film? Kubrick takes his viewers on the exhilarating journey of Jack Torrance?s psychological break-down through the psychic eyes of his son, Danny. While this is interesting, it is not nearly as exciting as the other possibility. As stated above, it is easily spotted that Danny Torrance has a link to the supernatural, it also becomes vaguely apparent through various hints, including alcohol dependence, rage, a gradual loss of his grip on reality, and perhaps the most obvious, his own visions, that Jack, too shines.

Jazz Ritter Period 1 Romeo and Juliet Essay May 16, 2011 Furious Fate ?What fates impose, that men must needs abide; It boots not to resist both wind and tide?. This was said by William Shakespeare, also the author of Romeo and Juliet. It is clear that Shakespeare believes fate drives people's lives; people do not control their own destinies. In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, free will does not affect fate; destiny cannot be changed and is symbolized by several motifs in the play.
