Perception on Alternative Energy Jon G. Thorderson Oak Grove High School Importance of Study The importance of this study?is that oil is a finite resource. The usage of oil is increasing rapidly. The United States has an oil dependency and this has a potentially devastating effect on the economy and the environment. The Statement of the Problem The purpose of this study is to analyze perception on whether or not?the US?should or should not make the change to alternative energy. Sub Problem 1 The first subproblem is to determine the perception of students at Oak Grove High School on whether the environment is a topic of interest and concern. Hypothesis 1 The majority of students at Oak Grove High School believe that the environment is a topic of interest and concern.
