Matt Whitney Period 3 AP world Chapter 31 The Collapse of The Old Order The Stalin Revolution Plan to industrialize Russia- Stalin?s goal was to turn the USSR into an industrial nation. The goal of industrialization was not to produce consumer goods for a mass market instead its goal was to make the communist party greater and gain power around the world. Collectivization of agriculture ? Collectivization meant consolidating small private farms into larger collective fields, making the farmers work together in commonly owned fields. #1 what is the main point of Orwell?s novel? In this story Animal Farm by George Orwell, there are many political, mainly referring to the Russian Revolution. These are very important but I believe that the main reason he wrote this book is to show how Stalin rose to power and how he stayed in power (otherwise known as how napoleon rose to power and how he stayed in power.) Stalin plays and important part in the Russian Revolution imprisoning 9 million people and killing over 2 million. Napoleon represents Joseph Stalin in this novel by the way he acts and the ways he treats others. Orwell wanted to show this by using animals to show the torcher done by Stalin and his men.
