Introduction to Sociology Brian Verd?n Love is Love, Regardless of Gender Homophobia consists of the negative attitudes and feelings towards people who are identified (or perceived) as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Transgender (LGBT). It comes in many forms, but is at its worst when it becomes violent. Most hate and fear of the LGBT community comes from religious teachings. Homophobia can also manifest as a self-hatred by those who are having a hard time accepting that they are attracted to the same sex or realize that they are transgender.
