Abir Chowdhury 2nd HR/ AP Gov. 10/01/12 Planned Parenthood History Officially established as Planned Parenthood in 1942 by Margaret Sanger, who also became the first president of the group. Throughout history has provided information and education on reproductive health, maternal health services, child health services, sex education, and is one of the largest U.S. providers of reproductive health services (cancer screen, HIV screening, and etc.). It first started out as a birth control clinic and then bloomed into an international organization promoting reproductive health in 1958. Benefits New parents and teen parents who are having their first child and are unknowing of how things maybe or go.
