Ebony Metoyer February 9, 2011 1st Period- English 1 Honors Communism Essay Communism Essay Communism is a social economic system. It is based on a society that is in fact without classes, and also without sovereignty. It is also based on common ownership of means of production. It is the opposite of capitalism. The symbol of communism is a hammer and a sickle. I am reading the book The Hunger Games. In this book communism is definitely present. Everything is owned by the government in communism. In this book everyone and everything is owned by the government in communism. If you go and hunt a squirrel the government ( The Capital ) can come and take it. You can?t do anything about it.
