Nathan Palella Mr. Corrigan AP Euro 31 August 2011 France 1968 DBQ There was turmoil that was happening in France in 1968. This period, plainly named the 1968 crisis, was a time of riots and outrage. The students, who were rioting because of the cramped conditions of their universities and outdated means of teaching used by the professors, and the workers, who were all on strike because of poor wages despite the growing economy, of France rallied together on the streets of France, demanding for Charles de Gaulle?s resignation and better conditions. These two groups including the government and revolutionary parties, were all at blame for the causes of the 1968 crisis, which led to responses from many other groups.
