At my school, they also offer AP Comparative Government. Is comparative worth taking or do you think american government would be a better bet?

She is making us work a little harder this semester, but I think that I'm going to fail the AP test becase we just wrote our first DBQ, so were screwed for the test. I would say take it because it does really help for college, and it might help you if you ever go on a game show. It is a great class, and you might get college credit!
Sounds like it's being run like a level 100 or 200 college course, most of the work is going to be on your own. As for just starting the dbq, when I took APUSH, we started dbq's 2nd semester.

You'll be alright, just study and work hard and you'll be fine. If you need help, that's why we are here, to help you.

Speaking of the AP Gov test...

I'm brand new to the forum, so forgive me if I'm repeating someone else's question 'cause I didn't read all the other posts thoroughly, but here's the question:

I'm in a semester-long AP gov course with a teacher who's nice, sweet, and flexible, but... not exactly what I would call terribly competent. Does anyone know how viable the taking of the test is at this point?
I mean, it's been a full quarter now and I feel like I know.... very little.
Also, has anyone ever taken the thing before? Does it emphasize knowledge of, say, the 'key terms' the text gives, or like the various political ideaologies, or more like the details of our system of government? Can anyone give clues about that?
Thanks :)

I honestly can't say what the test is on- I only hope that it stresses key terms and the like since my teacher is always having us do them. Your class sounds a lot like mine. All I can say is that you should take the test if you feel you can handle the material. Has your teacher given you any old AP tests or questions? If so, how did you feel about them? That kind of thing can help you to figure out if it would be good to take the test or not. Good luck!
