Kilometers to cubic centimeters? You can't convert length into volume. Are you sure that's what the problem calls for?

But for converting length, the easiest way is probably to set up a proportion.

7 x 10^5 km = X cm
1 km = 10^5 cm

7 x 10^5 x 10^5 = 1 x X

X = 7 x 10^10 cm

However, you have to be careful when converting areas and volumes. All of your conversion factors must be raised to the power of the units. For example, when converting ___m^2 to ___cm^2, you should use this conversion factor:

1 m^2 = 100^2 cm^2

instead of this one:

1 m^2 = 100 cm^2
