My sister just got a full ride to Buffalo, so now I can actually go to a really good college. I'm not sure whether I want to apply to the east coast. I would like to go to MIT, but I think it is still out of my price range even with my sister's money, and it would be really hard to get scholarships to IV league schools. I kinda wanted to go to stanford or Cal tech, but if all else fails, I'll probably just go to the school of mines in CO cuz they have a cool campus and I can get a full ride there and let my parents retire early. The only downside is that my parents are in driving distance *jitters*

You know you're an AP student if...

you think studying is fun.
you constantly find yourself saying "we had homework?"
everything you know about sex, you learned in english class.

If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

I would really like to go to Harvard or Stanford and major in premed, but I'm not sure what it will take for me to get in. I haven't visited the campuses yet so I don't know what they're really like. If anyone knows the requirements of these schools and what they're looking for please let me know!

I spent a week at Georgia Tech over the summer. Were you there when they built the new CRC? It's awsome. That water slide is so fun.

Thanks for the luck Armando!

eh, looking at Stanford, JHU, U Penn, Brown, College Park, Berkeley...yeah, i think that's pretty much it...eh, i have a year left to narrow it down but anyways...being an asian doesn't really help me much. Heh, oh well. Do you guys think 3 B's hurt a lot?? >_<;; AP CHem at my school is 2 periods ergo 2 B's and then another B in world history...i kind of regret taking AP Chem as a sophomore now...anyways 3 B's?

Yay!!! Johns Hopkins!!! That place is so awesome! I went there over the summer with scholarship :p for pre-college program and wow, people are very, very competitive over there. Lots were from Jamaica, Taiwan, many Koreans, hee hee, and most were entering senior in HS, but couple were juniors like me :D but there were like 3 sophomores. It's really neat there but hot. The weather's crazy too because sometimes it's sunny then it starts to rain and thunder...like during summer, I was going to Biochem (which was all the way across campus!!!!!) but then it started raining like crazy... :(! Plus food was terrible (sometimes it's good)...'cause foods okay but the CTY kids!!!!!!!! They take all the food...!!

3 B's....that's not good at all...no offense...because the admissions wants almost 3.999999 or +4.0 GPA. Luckily, school gives 0.5 more credit so, if I keep my current GPA, I'd graduate with 4.5 heh heh!! Anyways, if you want those colleges to pick you, you have to be really, really active in community, win 1st-3rd place in math, science, academic contests, show leadership, extra-curricular etc. yeah, yeah, you must've heard all this but they really help!

Like last year in Harvard, guess who they picked? Two people who scored average SAT score of 1200-1300 went into Harvard! How? One was #1 and incredibly talented with magician skills that got him famous, and the other (1200) went in because he was #1 leader, captain, manager, in like so many different things. Yeah...so that really helps! Wow, I wrote a lot...

Anyways, I'm thinking of Hopkins, U of Pen, U of WA, WA U in St. Louis, and Duke. Remember guys...it's not the undergrad that counts but graduate schools jobs look at!

Well, are "B"'s final grades or term grades? In my school, Mid-Terms and Finals are 10% each and each term is 20%. The only thing that counts towards GPA and class rank are final grades. I have gotten "B"s for term and M-T and Finals grades, but I still have a 4.0 because my final grades have all been A's.

Anyways, I visited Brown once and I fell in love. It is only like an hour away, is in PROVIDENCE, and is wicked quirky. I <3 BROWN!

hmm...i don't think that my school should be rural or else i'll get too bored..

i hope it's a "collge town" like where I am right now, Boulder, COloradO!
I guess it doesnt really matter if its a public or private..(except for the COST!)..but i would prefer smaller classes in private than a 3000 student lecture classes (OR honor classes in public school would be really nice)

I am currently interested in biochemistry, neuroscience/cognitive science, psychology, philosophy, and genetics..i've just began my major search, so they're all over the board..but my counselor told me that i can probably get some jobshadowing opportunities or meeting ppl that have the jobs that are related to the majors that I like (wow lotsa "that"s..sorry :S i'm gramatically challenged)
