I was doing some demographic research for making plans on expanding the site and I realized that over 400,000 students take those 2 exams each year. It would be great to be able to offer them some study resources but I never took either of those two classes so I'm not sure what resources would be helpful for them. So I'm turning to you for help :)
What ideas for content do you have?

From what I hear from my friends, and what I saw when I was forced in there for a few days, alot of the test is just reading comprehension. Maybe add an explanation of the different devices and mechanisms of literature. I'll ask around for you tomorrow.

Maybe a list of books you should read or will probably read in an AP english course?
I remember a lot of talk about rhetorical devices.
But I have no clue what they are. I'm terrible at english, I only took honors eng, not AP.

I'm currently in an AP English Literature class, and I took the Language exam last year. For the language exam, a definitive list of rhetorical devices, including examples and possibly analysis of the examples, would be an amazing help. I cannot tell you how many times last year my teacher would have us search in vain on the internet for definitions only to come up with the wrong thing. Or to come up with two opposite definitions for the same thing. It was painful. My teacher also said that there will be poetry on the language exam this year, so metaphorical language analysis and such would be a great help, as well.
So far, the main thing that I've come across in AP English Lit is poetic language and interpretation. My teacher this year has us constructing a "Literary Toolbox" of common symbols, themes and metaphors that can be found in most poetry, since there is most definitely poetry on this exam. The literature exam isn't as analytical as the language exam, so it's harder to find definite things to list as resources.

maybe include notes on "The Lively Art Of Writing" by Payne, and "Language and Thought In Action" by Hayakawa. I had to read those for the class, and i really needed help on them....especially the Hayakawa one... Rethorical devices would also help...
