Physics Independently

Hey I am currently a Junior in high school and I haven't taken any physics yet(I am planning on taking regular physics next year through distance learning to test my basic knowledge of it). I was hoping on taking an AP exam this year and the other next year. However, I have yet to start studying either of them since I don't know which exam to take this year.

So my main question is, with the exams being a few months away, which one should I take? Also depending on which one I decide, which textbook should I buy/borrow to learn the information?

I don't know if I am crazy or not for trying to learn all this in one semester, but I am mathematically and scientifically inclined, so I am thinking I might be able to pull it off.

Thanks for any information.
