I'm in the AICE program at my school, but it is not widely known about. I was wondering if there are any other crazy AICE kids out there...
[AICE stands for Advanced International Certificate of Education. It is another name that we use for CIE, which is Cambridge International Examinations.]

Yeah, it is a bit different than IB...IB takes two exams at the end of the senior year (I think...)
AICE takes exams: at the end of the junior year
November of the senior year
end of the senior year
...
There a three categories (Math/Sci--Lang--Social Sci) and in order to get the AICE diploma one must pass at least one exam in each category as well as 3 other exams in any category...**there is also a 'special' exam called Thinking Skills which can count toward the Math/Sci category OR the Social Sci category...if one doesn't pass an exam the first time he can take it during one of his other testing periods. Another thing is that most of the exams have more than one section, but unlike AP, these sections take place on separate days, for example, the AICE Chemistry exam has 4 sections, two on Chemisty knowledge and two Labs. Each section occurs on a different day........

I'm slated to join IB after I finish MYP, but I am going to do a program at a junior college instead. That way, I can get an associate's degree by age 18. An associates degree will do more for your career than any IB or AICE degree.

In IB, AICE, or AP you could possibly complete 2 years at the university level. Some universities will not accept credit from junior/community colleges towards a degree, whereas a lot will take international degree credits, and allowing you to start graduate studies in as little as 2 years.

Ah, yeah...
But you knew that one AICE kid. ;)
Nice to see another member, JoeM92. So, who's happy those AICE tests are finally over? Geez, that chem one was murder; we couldn't have covered more than ten things on it in my class...
I swear the torment I put myself through...just to get out of Sex Education too... I am Pathetic.
Der Läufer, consider yourself lucky. All of these kids are just crazy, obsessive (dedicated?), and really smart too.
I'm not, actually, qualified to be an AICE kid; I'm squirrelly as heck and randomly obsessive, but smarts just aren't my department. >.< (that one's for you AICE kid!)
So, a message to all the other AICE's out there, all the other crazies like myself, and to those who somehow are able to stay normal in the insanity of this world:
Have a great summer!
