Haha. It's not the heat that really bites, it's the humidity. That's the real killer. But, thanks to the storms, it's cooled off a bit. We now down to 78 from 89. Ah, pool weather.

I so totally cannot believe I read this humongous thread. O.o ...That really shows just how bored I am.

It's not fair! I was supposed to be working this summer, but no-stupid therapist/doctor hast to tell my over-protective mom that working/movement is *bad* for me. Grumbles, it's just a frigging knee!
I'm not even allowed to swim! Forget riding, or an sports for that matter that I *used* to participate in.

Anyway, since weather comes up in this post a lot, I'll tell my own tale:

So, about a month or two ago it was one hundred-something degrees F out, and we got hail! For, like, an hour.

I am so bored. My friends are hermits...and the other is not allowed to step within twenty feet of my house/cannot ride with me/cannot associate with my mother by order of her mom. O.o

So, I let off sparklers outside her house, which she never saw...but I did get some rude comments from some cars passing by. T_T; I just wanted to spread the joy!

It's raining right now. Again. Geez, where was all this rain in April... Oh well, at least I'm not watering plants (which I'm not suppose to do anyway...heh, heh, heh)

Where is everyone during the summer. I hate all these people with lives...

I can't wait for school to start. Senior year! Go '09, and all that jazz. There's my spirit for the year. Meh. I'm rambling now, so someone respond soon or summer end. I'm sure there are a lot of people needing entertainment. I should be doing homework. Maybe tomorrow...

I start school in like....6 weeks.

I'm working for 4 more weeks then taking two weeks off, then back to college-land.

wow, i start in like six weeks too, but i'll be a senor in highshcool. heck yeah!

and i get my braces off tomorrow.

and my "sister" gets back form cheer camp. she isn't actually my sister but we have been so close for such a long time that i feel like she is. anyway, i am excited that she gets back because i haven't seen her in a while. before this she was on a choir trip in eastern europe.

and i take my drive test in a few days. it's kinda wierd cuz all my friends already have thier licenses and i always have to bum rides off of them so it will be good to get my license

and i am going to new hampshire next weekend to visit family, so that should be cool.

Wow I start school in like four weeks. At least my schedule isn't too bad. As for summer plans, I'm going camping for a week in northern Wisconsin and I can't wait! It's going to rock! But that's all I'm doing this summer. I've been bumming around the house a lot. Oh well.

Yeah! Conversation!

I start school in four weeks? Six weeks? Five weeks? (I can't tell time! =_=; ) Whenever August 18th is from now...

Wow, Der Läufer, that sounds so cool! Tell us what it's like when you get back!
-Gosh, I haven't been camping in years. -

Ferris: Congrats on losing your braces!

That's great, Ferris, going places up north is awesome. I prefer the winter or early spring, though. Ice-skating and sledding and tongues-frozen-to-icesickles are just too much fun! (I swear icesickles is a word. Is it not? )

By the way, Pink Floyd rocks, though I haven't heard them in years...I do miss your old avatar though, Ferris...

I suppose I have nothing to say. I really should finish my homework...

My schedule for this semester is pretty crazy. Generally I go 9-5 every day with classes or on-campus work. Then in the evenings I've got ensembles. I'm doing multiple jazz groups, and the university chorus. Then also my jazz combo is gonna start doing gigs on Long Island and in NYC. So I'll be busy busy busy.

Ferris Bueller
07-21-2008, 02:58 PM
wow, what a schedual. mine is kind of similar though. i have a bunch of harsh classes, then i have to help manage the girls swim team at our school (it's alot of just recording times, cleaning up the pool deck, and just all around helping out the coach) and then i go coach the swim team over at the local YMCA. that goes untill guy's swim starts in the winter. then i have classes, swimming, and coaching.

by the way, greenlover, the reason for the avatar change is that i found my camera and i was just making sure it still worked so i took a bunch of random pictures and put them on my computer. i liked a bunch of the pics of my CDs so i posted them in various places.

and you would not belieeve how wierd my teeth feel right now.

Um, excuse me...did I hear the word riding? As in horseback riding? *hopes she assumed correctly* Because if you've read this thread's history, I'm sure you know that I'm an avid rider and love to chat with others about riding and all...lol

Gawd, I fly back to Ohio for school in like...one month. Aug 20th to be exact. Summer's gone by so fast! And my schedule is going to be hectic--especially Mon, Wed and Fri, when I'm in classes from 10 to 6, both on and off campus. Aside from my near back-to-back classes on those days, I know that I'll be having two or three nights a week devoted to riding team practice, and a semi-private riding lesson on Wed. And I also want to get a part time job. Sigh, I want longer days so I can sleep.

Wow, Shadow, that's a lot of work. But it's some fun work too, right? I liked to be busy, not sure I'd like to be that busy though.

Ferris that's quite a load too. But, some of it is still fun, right? Oh, well, that makes sense. (The reason for avatar change.) And you're right, I couldn't imagine how weird your teeth feel, but I can still be amused by the comment. ;)

And Xenahorse, you heard right. I am a struggling English rider. Circumstance is not kind to me right now. I want a part time job too! But my physical therapist is still limiting to the house...It's not like I've been walking around for months without him...(sarcasm) Not sure I could sleep anymore than I already do. Bed arrest is so boring.

I just noticed that I screwed up my earlier post, so reposting. (I probably shouda just edited, but, meh.)

oh, all my work will be fun in some way or another. i love coaching and i still can't believe i actually get paid for it. that really is a bummer about your bed arrest but hey, more time for quiet introspection and meditation right? lol! as if we all wished we had lots of time for that. i, for one, despise being forced to sit on my ass and do nothing. (i end up sitting and doing nothing alot during the summer but that is through my own choice, not someone elses.

Hey Xena.......

Ponies are stupid :P

That's what I randomly text to my friend sara, possibly my best friend, she's obsessed with riding, and ponies and horses of all kinds, so just to push her buttons i'll randomly tell her I think ponies are dumb.

Ferris Bueller
07-24-2008, 01:48 AM
not to step into a debate that is not mine but how can you say ponies are stupid?
what is stupid is how people use their ponies. there are so many usefull aplications for ponies. like in combat (and i don't know why the canadians haven't figured this one out), say you are in a mounted unit but you need stealth. a horse is too big but with a pony, you ride below the radar.

also, have you ever seen a midget get abused in a movie. it's instant comady. for some reason(probably cuz they're small) midgets getting thrown around is hillarious. like mini-me in austin powers.
well, ponys are the midgets of horses, which makes me think that if you got an evil horse and then got a pony that looked just like him, and they had all kinds of zany adventures and their evil plots were foiled by a horse with an english accent (a clydesdale perhaps?) it would be a huge hit.

also, remember how great it was when it was legal for children to work in factories? they could reach all those hard to get places and they got paid way less than adults. well the same is true for horses but because they are adults child labor laws don't apply. (which makes me wonder why the same logic has not been applyed to midgets.)

lol

Ahh, Shadow--you always know the right things to say to set my heart all a-flutter!!! lol

W00T! Another rider!!! YAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! I'm so very sorry that you're bedridden, Greenlover. Mind if I call you Green? I would be bored out of my mind if that were to happen to me. You said that you ride English. Do you jump? What kind of horse to you have/ride? I ride both English and Western, but I'm more interested in English, namely Dressage and Jumpers. I wanna get into eventing, actually. What about you? Ever tried Western before?

Ferris, you crack me up. I was laughing way too much at your plots for ponies. You've only forgotten one important thing--ponies are evil, conniving, freakishly intelligent little sadists who will stop at nothing to do the maximum harm to a person. This is the truth. SO DON"T UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE!!!!

Er, 'scuse me for that. I got a little carried away again. Really need to cut back on the sugar.

Gah! My email told me no one had responded here yet!!

Xenahorse: You can call me Green; and, yeah, I jump. My mom freaks out if I try to jump higher than a three foot fence though... I learned to ride in the western style first, but I *hate* jogging. I don't own my own horse, but I would love a Florida Cracker (they're gonna be our state horse soon!), but I do take care of a Thoroughbred (Shameless bragging: one of Secretariat's grand-daughters) and a Quarter horse. They're my mom's and sister's, respectively. And because I refuse to take instructions from their instructor, I am not allowed to ride either one. (Though I have ridden Paints, Morgans, Appolousa, Thoroughbreds, Roans, Walkers, a Shetland, and various indeterminable ponies.)

And Ferris, those are some very interesting uses for ponies. I wonder why no ones thought of them before. It seems to be just as good as "A Modest Preposal" 's proposal. Eating babies is a wonderful way to solve world hunger, employ millions, and provide population control.

And ya know what Shadow? I have met some very stupid ponies. And horses, too. :)

I love it Green! Ferris' own Modest Proposal, equine style--hmm...I think I want to play around with this idea actually....

Oh, just added a freaky story to the "Spiders" thread. Read it!

I so want read anything you can parody off that story. It was my favorite to read in English last year.

ZOMG, that is a great addition to the "The Evils of Spiders" thread. Thank you for your contribution.

That poor, poor child. o.O

Just more focused work.
