I might get some sleep over winter break. We'll see how things work out. But for the moment, I have three tests this and next week, my computer died on me and has to be sent in, and finals week is only two weeks away. I'm so busy it's not even funny, and I probably shouldn't even be posting! So yeah, I should go before I'm late for class. Luckily it's a fun one!
Something I'm starting to think that is way too much of a bother.
I'm also working during the Christmas break, but dunno what time shifts I'll be pulling. Probably early ones....like you, What.
Good thing about those is the fact that the rest of the day is free.

It's not like anyone reads this anymore, but I'll go ahead and talkhere anyways. Just finished my two hardest finals: Physics and AP Bio. Next I've got AP Econ, and I'm so exhausted from all this studying that I might not work at it at all. Which would be very bad for my grade right now. Yep/
Congrats on the college acceptance and good luck on your finals!

Coffee is great, it's been awhile since I had a cup, but I just had one now and boy am I feeling it. I'm sooooooo incredibly hyper I feel like doing something like posting over and over and over and over and over in the shoutbox or running laps around the dorm. Wow...this is so weird I haven't had coffee affect me like this in....years.....coffee deprivation I guess......I'll probably crash at some point...but omgomgomg I'm so hyper right now I feel like dancing...WHAT A GREAT IDEA *dances to happy feet*

Gaah, I think I just want to kill my blasted horse- except that she's pretty much taken care of that on her own. She's gone lame (means that she's in pain and limping) and the vet thinks that she might have torn a ligament! Blasted hore- I won't know until Mon; if she's still lame by then then it means she's really hurt herself...which means that I'll have to spend a bunch of money to get the vet to make her better.....
At least the song I'm listening to now is good! Enter Sandman, by Metallica. Oh, it changed. 'Nother good one- Jailbreak, by ACDC....now I need to finish stuffing those blasted grad invites

Our is more like one day in January you get snow flurries that don't stick, so it's practically just really cold rain. The ice is the doozy though - Atlantans cannot drive, let alone on ice. Um well, obviously I like Jazz music the most. I'm listening to it right now. Screamo stuff is probably at the bottom of my likes list too, along with country.
Mostly what I look for in music is artistic integrity. I mean, is it different, or the same old recycled crap over and over and over again? I basically scorn anything that is on MTV or played on pop radio stations.

Shadow

I don't like younger girls, I just like girls that I can have an intelligent conversation with. Girls that spend more time on their homework than they spend on their makeup on a friday night. It also helps if they can tolerate my morbidly blunt sense of humor and dry wit.
Fun Story: I was sitting in a car with a girl once, just ya know, cuddling or whatever you kids call it. And she's all like "what are you thinking about?" I said "Some jazz song." Wasn't really the best answer....we never went out again :D But my level of caring is so close to nil it didn't matter to me.
So girls have to be able to tolerate the fact that I'm a jazz major, and that means that no matter what situation I'm in, I've probably got a tune running through my head, or I'm thinking through chord changes or something.
Oh Xena that sucks. I'm still using an old old old iPod Mini 4gig from when I was in 10th grade. She has served me well. But I really need an upgrade, as I have 42 gigs of music.
I have spring break in two weeks, I really need the time off. I want to practice so much more than I have been at school. I've only been getting in like an hour and a half each day. I'd rather it be closer to 4 hours :(.

Alright Drummer :P
I was up really late at a party doing multiple legally specious things.
And for the record: I am a biochemical tank. I retain logical coherency at intoxication levels that would have most people unable to walk.

specious? hmm..legally specious. cant say ive heard that before..
anyway that sounds cool i guess..
define logical coherency though. how far does that go? like you can get wasted but solve advanced calculus B/C and get it right? or you can get wasted and carry on a regular conversation while doing something else at the same time. Im not exactly familiar with all of that because Im straight edge.

EDIT: I found a word to simply describe my state the other evening. I become a hard-core rhetorician when intoxicated.
You think I'm honest now....wait till I'm not sober.

Lol, that's what college life is all about, right?
So, I'm finding out right now that one of my professors gave my class a project (due Wen., of course) that should have been given to architectural majors. And we're all EQUINE majors...

I have to write a research paper on "The Blues"
Cause I really need to do research on that topic.

I turned in my research paper today. I'm done with 'em for the rest of my high school career! :) But good luck with yours, Shadow.

Sigh, you all have NO idea how happy I am that that project is over (well, semi-over). A group of is had to design a full-blown equine facility and price everything in it--like amount of concrete, wiring, fire systems, ugh it's too much to think about right now...
And I have a research paper dure here in about a month, but I don't know the topic for it yet. Just something to do with African dance, music or culture. But that paper is in place of a final, so I can't complain too much.

So during my three hours at work today I wrote a detailed outline for my research paper.
On-Campus jobs just are not hard.

College isn't really hard.
Just very very very very very time consuming.

True--although I also find it physically demanding. But that's cause of my major. And sadly enough the physical aspect of it hasn't kept me from the freshman 15...sigh, I love food

I've realized that since I started college I haven't done much helping people out here at course-notes. I only come here anymore for you guys. Also cause I'm now academically retarded.

Heh, I was just thinking the same thing...and I can't help but wonder if going to college actually makes you dumber.

Hmm...true. But I also think that most people that come to college after busting their butts in High School AP classes either think that the college is a joke or are so burned out that they don't do most of the work, then stress about it.
I am glad that I don't have to take a high-end math class, though. Those never are easy, and wouldn't fail to scare me. I don't agree much with complicated math...
Shadow
04-14-2008, 12:07 AM
I get to take a basic math class here for my NY State certification. Then I can take another basic one in PA to get my PA State Teaching Certs.

Hehe, it was actully for an honors college class that I had to take. Or teacher was teaching at my college for just this semester, and is from West Ghana. He's been drumming and dancing since he was three...yeah, the class was unlike anything I've ever done before. We spend one day getting a lecture/discussion about Africa and its music/dance/culture and the other in the studio dancing.
That's a nice look you've got going there, Shad. I think the closing of the eyes is particularly becoming. How did the concert go?
Shadow
04-21-2008, 11:21 PM
See I think the fact that I somehow end up with my eyes closed every time someone is taking a picture is really annoying :P
Oh and the concert was hilarious. It was a few cheesy songs so the 2nd guitar and I used our solos to basically fuck around and play things that were just as obnoxious as possible.
And it has pretty much become standard at my school for people to call me "Miles Davis."

Somebody needs to fuck with classical music majors now and then.
They start getting egos if you don't.
xenahorse
04-23-2008, 09:00 PM
Ah, waaaaay too true. The whole "pure and classical only" music thing starts to wear thin after a while. Not dissing classical music, but that's just how it gets to be. Majors in general get to be a little too egotistical about their fields sometimes...I know I sure do!

why is it that people text while driving? I mean it even sounds like a stupid idea... but when they crash (as they're bound to do) they wonder "How did I crash!?!" and they get upset about it... its their own fault... so yeah... thats what I think...

Oh I never let you guys know, I got a job working for my local water company. I drive a truck around and fix fire hydrants. It's pretty hardcore. 40 hours a week, $11/hr, i got a sweet pickup truck and look like a total badass.
I needed a good masculating job.
