It’s my first week of school. Well, the first four days of school. And it’s only the third day. Enough technicalities, down to the good stuff.

High school is fun. I’m a junior, so I know that, but I still like saying it. I think this year will be good because there are people in my classes who I don’t usually talk to and also some good friends. It’ll be nice to have diversity. (And hot girls!)

So, here’s what’s good. It’s August 23, 2009, a Sunday. I go back to school next Monday. Holy Sh*t.

This is the start of my blog. I’m here to show you what my life is like. As of this moment, I still have to complete some math summer work before school (not to mention have one last summer blast) and basically chill. I plan on doing weekly(ish) blogs about how miserable and funny high school is. I’ll tell you about myself now so that by the time school starts, you’ll understand me.

Schools today have realized that in order to steal the souls of children, they need to destroy their summer vacation. With that thought, they created the most dreaded of all, summer work. While it used to be a book and maybe a paper over the summer, it has now gone berserk. Personally, my teachers assigned me :
 A packet of math problems for a test on the third day of school
 Five chapters of textbook readings, along with 5 one paragraph questions and 1 five paragraph question
 A summer book

High School should be a time of friends, freedom, and new experiences. Unfortunately, high school isn’t always this way. It’s an emotional rollercoaster, a lottery, to get days when you have little homework and few activities. Other days, the ones that just sneer in your face and make you want to buy a pack of Depends, you get a test the next day, a paper, Boy Scouts, a Football game, and three hours of work. The thing is, this misery doesn’t always last. It sucks now, but it always gets better.

We've all been there. The one teacher that inspires you to love learning, explore new fields of study, and miss school, and the other one who does just the opposite. But, there are many varieties of teachers, all with different good/evil in them (Think Anakin Skywalker circa "Revenge of the Sith", a precarious balance between good and evil). No two teachers are alike, but there are several categories that each one falls near.

Need Notes?

While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
