I highly recommend the “5 Steps to a 5: AP Psychology” review book because of its simplicity, utility, and practicality. The review book uses simple and concise language, which makes it easier for students to read. The book is divided into five steps, which include 18 chapters and a practice AP Psychology test.

The five necessary steps introduced in the review book to earn a five on the AP Psychology test are:
1. Set up your study program.
2. Determine your test readiness.
3. Develop strategies for success.
4. Review the knowledge you need to score high.
5. Build your test-taking confidence.

The 18 chapters have practice questions, different symbols, and “a quick review”. The practice questions help prepare students for questions that will appear on the AP Psychology test and the symbols (in the left margin) help indicate the importance of the topics in each chapter. The quick review is a summary of the chapter located at the end of each chapter. It is extremely useful for students who do not have a vast amount of time to study before the AP test. The chapters also provide key terms and tips from previous AP students.

The practice AP Psychology test helps students determine the areas they need to study the most. All of the questions on the practice exam come with answers and explanations. The practice test emulates the actual AP Psychology test with 100 questions and two essays.
